Dr. Syeda Kiran Riaz, Assistant Professor in Molecular Biology at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad, participated in an intensive STEM Faculty Training Programme held in the United Kingdom from 4th to 8th August 2025. Dr. Riaz was nominated for this prestigious international training by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission Pakistan, in collaboration with the British Council UK. The week-long programme focused on Project-Based Learning, the CDIO Framework (Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate), and innovative teaching methodologies aimed at transforming STEM education. The training was delivered in partnership with leading UK institutions including the University of York, University of Birmingham, and King’s College London. Key facilitators included Dr. Awotwe Tabbi Wilberforce from King’s College London, who provided hands-on guidance on practical pedagogy, and Dr. Mark Langley from the National STEM Learning Centre, who shared deep insights into real-world STEM education challenges and solutions. The sessions emphasized practical application over theory. Participants engaged in immersive workshops designed to equip faculty with cutting-edge strategies for enhancing student engagement, integrating Artificial Intelligence into curriculum design, and fostering inclusive learning environments. Speaking about the experience, Dr. Syeda Kiran Riaz stated:
