ADMISSION NOTICE (Session – January 2020)

Online applications are invited for admission in the following residency training at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad.

4-6 years Residency Programme leading to Terminal Qualifications viz MD/MS/MDS

Two Years MD Training Level-III
(Candidates who have passed MD General Medicine,
Pediatric Medicine respectively are eligible to apply

Faculty of Medicine & Surgery Allied Disciplines
For Federal Government Polyclinic (FGPC), Islamabad

Faculty of Dentistry & Allied Disciplines
Only for Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC), Islamabad.

(Inductions will be based on Terms & Conditions of Affiliated Colleges)

Faculty of Dentistry & Allied Disciplines
Only for College of Dentistry Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS), Islamabad.

Faculty of Surgery & Allied Disciplines
Only for Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS), Islamabad.

(Admission to the various Programmes at Rawal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS),
are subject to inspection and approval of Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and
induction in these programs will be as per regulations of Affiliated Colleges)

Four Years FCPS Training Level-I
(Candidate who have passed FCPS-I 2019 are eligible only apply)

Three Years FCPS Training Level-II
(Candidates who have already complete two years mandatory training in General Medicine, General Surgery are eligible to apply those who passed IMM will be preferred)

Two Years FCPS Training Level-III
(Candidates who have passed FCPS General Medicine,
Pediatric Medicine respectively are eligible to apply

Category ‘A’ Five Year FCPS Training Program

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidate must possess MBBS/BDS or equivalent degree registered by PMDC.
2. Must possess one year house job from a PMDC recognized Institution.
3. Permanent valid registration with PM&DC.
4. Declared successful in MD/MS/MDS Part-I for University programs on 28-04-2019 and 15-12-2019 and FCPS part-I examination 2019 for CPSP training programs Level-I.
5. In case of foreign candidate, valid registration with Medical Council of their country of origin must be produced.

Procedure for Admissions
The procedure for admission is as follows

1. For MD/MS/MDS/FCPS download Admission Form 
2. Applicants must choose Degree Level MD/MS/MDS/FCPS and once it’s chosen, they can apply in maximum 02 Specialty.
3. In case of incorrect information, the University has the right to cancel the application admission without any fee refund.
4. Application processing fee is Rs. 2000 for each Specialty.
5. Applicants will create a Bank Draft/ Pay Order in favor of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad (NTN# 9010030-4). Fee is non-refundable/non-adjustable.
6. Applicants can apply only in one Programme MD/MS/MDS/FCPS.

Required Documents
Attested photo copies of the following documents must be attached with application form:

1. Three Passport size photograph.
2. Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)
3. Domicile certificate.
4. Matric, F.Sc, certificates or equivalent
5. MBBS/BDS degree with detail marks certificates of all professional
6. MBBS/BDS Attempts certificates of all professional
7. House Job certificates
8. PMDC valid permanent registration certificate
9. MD/MS/MDS Part-I passing certificate.
10. FCPS part-I passing Certificate
11. Experience Certificates (if any).
12. Any other certificate

1. Copy of online submitted Application form along with mentioned documents should reach Registrar Office, Admissions & Registration Department, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad before closing date.
2. University will not consider applications which are incomplete or have not been submitted with the stipulated deadline.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Selection of candidate will be made strictly on open merit basis.
2. Candidates who are Government Servants/serving in Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel. Advance applications will not be considered in case their applications through proper channel not received before interview. NOC will be required to join the course if selected in the case of such candidate.
3. Candidate shall submit affidavit that they shall not leave training in between. Candidates who are already under training in other Institutions and registered with CPSP/University or has completed training at SZABMU and not passed the degree/diploma shall not be entertained for other program in same/other discipline. Candidates shall be admitted in 1st year of residency program.
4. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. Decision of Selection Committee will be final.
5. Last date for submissions of application forms is 06-01-2020 till 04:30 PM.
6. No. TA/DA will be paid for interview.
